Strength:

As a manual exposure camera, the horrible mistakes of using AE mode, which bungles with a mirrorlock up are avoided. I do not miss the spotmeter, as I use a 1% true spot-meter which is hand-held. Colorado Springs Mobile Mechanic

Strength:

For portraits I take a couple of quick exposure reading in aperture priority mode and then use that to set up the shoot in manual mode and it is as good as any slr that I have used. Basically with good glass and some quality film stock this camera can be as good as any Nikon slr for portraits and landscapes albeit for a fraction of the price. - Moreno Valley Semi Truck Engine Repair

Strength:

Sturdy Well built

Weakness:

Leg operation requires procedure Unsufficient minimum height Not many leg angles available

I have used the Gitzo G320 tripod for the last 5 years. I mainly use it for medium format 6x7 and large format 4x5. It's a sturdy, well built piece of equipment providing you get the right head on it. The one I use is a Manfrotto Standard Head 039. I remember it took a little bit of a procedure to operate the legs. The minimum height can be an issue. It only has 2 angles for the legs spread and I wish it had at least 3.

Strength:

Excellent general purpose tripod. It has a very practical range of heights, is easy to adjust, and is very light weight.

Weakness:

This tripod only goes down to 16", so shooting really low is out of the question. It has two leg positions, were the Pro-Studex series on up offer three leg spred angles.

Great general purpose set of sticks. Very compact and rugged, a good economical alternative to the fiber leg sets. But watch that min. height issue.

Customer Service

Never had a problem, and don't expect one as I have with Bogans.
