Summary:

I have used my Tiltall tripod for over 20 years, on all kinds of jobs. It has never broken or failed me. I mounted a quick-release attachment so that I can use the camera on- or off-tripod easily. I had two, loaned one to a friend, it was stolen from her car, and I just bought another. I have tried many, but this is the one that I always come back to.

Strengths:

Mechanical simplicity, easy to take apart and clean in the field, reliability.

Weaknesses:

Operating the legs takes a bit of practice, and I put calibrated marks on them so that I could get the same height all around easily. You do not have to twist hard to lock the various axes, and most trouble people have comes from overtightening. It needs only a gentle touch, and I use large, heavy cameras.

I handle many brands owned by my friends and students.

Customer Service:

Never needed any.

Summary:

Nice versatile tripod but would recommend a different head if you shoot landscapes or move between on and off the tripod frequently. Good weight. Affordable.

Strengths:

Sturdy, tall. I'm 6'1" and I don't like bending over too much to take pictures :) This one is fine without raising the center column. Comes with a sturdy 3 way head. One leg detaches and can be used as a monopod. Good practical design. This is my first heavy tripod and I really like it. I use it in the studio and on location. I forget the price but it came with a nice carry case. I think you can even invert the center column to take very low angle shots but i haven't tried this yet.

Weaknesses:

The head is good but I plan to replace it with a quick release 3 way head that has a level. If you use the monopod sometimes when you're adjusting that leg you wind up unscrewing the leg instead of loosening the leg section. Minor complaint but worth the convienience of having the monopod.
