Strength:

Solid construction, 2 separate bevel surfaces allows 2 different width mounting plates and rails to be attached. Thus providing more accessory mounting flexibility than other commonly available QR clamps.

Weakness:

Ends of the QR clamp contain several sharp edges that could easily cut or scratch surfaces they contact or brush against. This is in direct contrast to the radiused and rounded corners of QR clamps and plates offered by US manufacturers. Black anodizing scratched too easily when using the Acra-Swiss provided 6 point socket to tighten the bolt that secures the QR clamp to an Arca-Swiss Z1 monoball.

Photographers who are 100% committed to using Arca-Swiss mounting components, could be satisfied with the Arca-Swiss 60mm Quick Release clamp. Functionally and flexibility of the Arca-Swiss QR clamp is very good.
