Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Little Tokyo in LA

Summary:

I've used this tripod dor ten years now and aside from the failure of one of the rubber rings around a tripod leg adjuster this tripod has performed flawlessly. it is not designed to support very heavy equipment and saggs a bit with some of my longer lenses but it does very well for such a small tripod. One could add a Bogen support for long lenses if that was a big issue.

Strengths:

Light, highly portable, handy and durable

Weaknesses:

I haven't found one yet

Similar Products Used:

Vivitar, Silk, Vivitar, Silk, Velbon, Spiratone and a few no-name/store brands.

Customer Service:

never needed it!

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Singapore

Summary:

This tripod is a wish to carry and works very straight forward with no gimmicks and extra features as compared to other tripod models. This tripod have only an angle to stand out the legs but never once did I realised that this feature is lacking in my setup! I have travel with one extensively and have taken nature, wildlife, portriats etc with little difficulties. Believe or not, the short tripod gives you about eye level (I''m 1.87m tall) plus when extending short, it can even take my EOS 1v + 70-200 f2.8! The only reason why you would want to have such a tripod by your size is basically convenient. That''s all it is for.

Strengths:

- Small & Compact - Feather light and very convenient for travelling - Remarkable built because of it''s simple & limited features - sturdy as compared to similar class of tripods

Weaknesses:

- Not flexible in terms of leg angles - Centre column can be better built

Similar Products Used:

- Manfrotto tripods - Gitzos tripods

Customer Service:

Very bad in Singapore as the distributor don''t do much repair and takes a very long time.

Review 3 of 4

Summary:

Very good travelling partner coz it can be totally put inside normal size packpad.
Also, good to use with medium format waist level camera coz it is less demanding to use a tall tripod. Its price is around HK$1000. in HK which is enough to buy other brands tripod + head with reasonable good quality and product feature.

Strengths:

Very stable, solid construction, compact size.

Weaknesses:

Relatively short in height especially trouble when locating behind fence.

Customer Service:

NO experience

Review 4 of 4

Model Reviewed:
G01 Weekend Standard

Summary:

It's a small tripod but can support my Nikon N-90 with 70-200 2.8, It is a bit shakey with my 400mm and 500mm lenses. If I had the choice on a mono pod or my Gitzo I would pick the Gitzo. I did replace the head with a Novoflex Mini&magic ball head because the Gitzo head that came wit the tripod was too big to pack in my camera bag

Strengths:

Small, light

Weaknesses:

NO

None
