Strength:

Great sturdy travellers tripod, small enough to fit in most carry-on bags even when fitted with a small ballhead. Supports a heavy camera with motordrive and normal zooms well. Tall enough for most users, well, for those under 6 feet. Very well-machined and delivers high utility per dollar. | hamilton fence painting

Weakness:

Not as light nor portable as its carbon-fibre cousins.

Strength:

The MiniTrekker is roomy enough that I can carry all of my current photo equipment, with room to spare. In the main compartment, which is customizable, I have managed to load my two Pentax bodies (ZX-5n and K2), three lenses, filters, hoods, remote, and a bunch of other stuff. In the shop or in the search for a 35mm tripod the G224 might seem a bit expensive, and the fact that it doesn't come with a head is another expense, although it is definetly a good investment.
I've ran tests ( results may vary depending on the head used) and the tripod has proved it can hold my Nikon F-70 still enough to produce sharp images up to six second exposures with a 110mm lense at life size magnification. I haven't shot over six seconds in the tests but if it can handle six seconds it should be able to stay sturdy for longer exposures and for longer lenses too. The tripod is designed to operate simply without confusion and hassel, unlike some tripods I've seen.
Strong and has the feeling it will last a while.
Sets up easily low down for floweres or low subjects and sets up easily at eye level for sports or just a higher angle.
This tripod has stopped me worring about camera shake, and now I can be confident that the camera is being held sturdy for the shot and not have to choose a faster shutter speed to get past camera shake problem,
All in all it's a simple tripod made to do it all for most 35mm work.

Strength:

Price is right. Sturdy and not look cheap. Buy now before the end of this year and get $45 rebate. Cool

Weakness:

No! So far so good

I'd like to recommend this tripod for beginner who want to pay for the tripod only one time and wasts your time only one time. Price may be a little bit too high but think about how much of your camera.
