Strength:

I've had this tripod for nearly 30 years. It's been used through bone-chilling cold and blazing heat, rain or shine it always delivered. It even survived a car accident that totaled both vehicles. I had to do minor repairs over the years. A couple of the telescoping leg locks broke after many years. I fixed them and a couple of other dings. finally the bubble level cracked, and one leg got a big dent that made it difficult to extend and retract that leg, so I went shopping for a replacement, and bought another identical but new tripod. These tripods are rugged and easy to use. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Great piece of equipment for the money!

Weakness:

None that I found in over 29 years of use.

Strength:

sold as Pro-700 in UK, cheap, reasonably lightweight, solid when extended and geared central column is well braced and has no movement even fully extended, extends well over 6". Fluid head is good for panning as is long handle (which tucks under your arm well)and allows you to control the camera with both hands whilst panning.

Weakness:

The vertical damper system does not seem to work well with my camera (quite heavy) and needs assistance from the actual head locking screw. the horizontal is fine. As it is a video tripod there is no facility for vertical camera positioning-however I have got round this by using a quick release system that allows the camera to be positioned either way round on the quick release mounting block.

I was pondering long and hard about spending £2-300 on a professional system, then I found this- reasonably lightweight yet extremely sturdy and stable platform, sure it does not have all the bells and whistles but if you want them you have to pay, this is fine for outdoors and studio work -and its black !! I am pleased I did not spend all that money on another system that does esentially the same job.

Strength:

Light for it's size, but stable enough.

Weakness:

None.

Am real happy with this tripod. Very nice fluid head. Meant to be used for video (has the long handle and fluid head) but I use it also for still cameras.
