Weaknesses: Poor after sale serviceBottom Line: The basic camera is not bad but I developed problems with the camera after a couple of dives, it would shut off after just a few pictures underwater. I sent the camera to the Canadian distrubitor for waranty, They tested it, said there were no problems and gave me all kinds of excuses why this was happening. After receiving the camera back I went on a dive trip and the camera imediatly started acting up again. Shutting down in the middle of a dive. I lost a week of taking pictures because of this. After discusing this with the other divers in the group and a professional underwater photographer we figured out that the contacts between the camera and the battery needed bent up a little. This fixed the problem and I was able to get many not bad pictures. However after about a dozen more dives it started to act up again. Rebent the tabs and okay again. When I returned to Canada I contacted the Canadian distrubitor again. There answer is that it has to be sent to Japan for warranty. Due to the fact that there is no qualified repair people in Canada and that Sea and Sea has bombarded me with excuses rather than just exchanging a faulty camera I would not recomend this camera or any other Sea and Sea products.
