Archos AV 700

As I don't do prints any more, I was looking for a way of showing my images to other people. The AV700 is fairly small and light (particularly compared with a portable PC) but it gives a postcard-sized image that is bright, contrasty and looks good. It can also be used as a portable drive for offloading images from digital cameras when away from home and of course it's a DIVX video player. People's reactions have exceeded my expectations. They all say 1) What is it? 2) How much does it cost? 3) Gosh what nice photos

Bright, contrasty, vaguely metallic image (Black & white comes over particularly well) Enough space to hold thousands of my best images & my favourite videos & music Fairly small and light (600g)

Can't decode a 10 MPix JPEG (6Mpix is OK) Can't decode RAW Can't read an avi file straight out of a camera - has to be converted to DIVX first
