$90.00 Summary: I am surprised at how much quality you get for $90, compared to lot of the other non-pro tripods in this price range. Even though this is just a junior model, it's still made of genuine Made in Italy Manfrotto DNA.
All the parts are well designed, with clever touches like the reversible center post for low angle shooting. You do have to make sure you like the pan/tilt head before buying, because you're stuck with it. It took some getting used to, but now it's very easy and fast to operate. Seriously consider the Bogen 719 Digi series if you want a ball head.
Also, this is a compact tripod, but I would not consider it very portable. I bring it when I know I need to set up a shot, and it works great for this, but it's a bit too big and heavy to just throw in a backpack.
I've been using this tripod for a year now, and it's holding up great, save for the bit of sand I got accidentally got in the legs. Strengths: great construction
