from Amazon.com Summary: I had high hopes for this camera, especially with the image stabilization feature. But the camera arrived with a faulty sensor that generated wildly overexposed images in all modes. I couldn't believe Canon let such a defective unit out the door. Strengths: Size, cost, image stabilization. Weaknesses: Poor quality control let a camera with a bad sensor get sold. Similar Products Used: Kodak C875, Fujifilm F31fd Customer Service: Amazon took the item back, but tacked on some "promotion" charge that left me a few dollars short of the purchase price. I'm disputing this with them. I've had nothing but excellent service from Canon's customer support people, however. With the A570is, I simply didn't want to go through technical gyrations -- I just sent back the camera.
