$0.00 Summary: Canon A2000IS:
The perfect mix between a professional SLR and amateur point-and-shoot.
Strengths: Still small enough to fit into your pocket and go everywhere you go. I know people with SLR camera's with a far more powerful lens, etc. But they never have the thing with them because it is so bulky.
The 6x optical zoom makes a huge difference from the more standard 3x in most camera's.
It uses the light sensor to automatically adjust the display brightness.
Its got a tilt sensor to automatically rotate images - very handy.
The face detection works like a charm - even at large distances.
Its optical anti-shake mechanism works beautifully every time - now even my wife can take sharp and clear pictures - in even low light conditions!
Its auto and easy mode does their job very well - I would say in about 99% of the situations you just need to put it in Auto mode. The landscape mode also works very well. I haven't found a situation yet where the camera's preset modes didn't do the job and I had to change some settings manually
Weaknesses: Cons:
They could have recessed the display a little bit. Mine already has a scratch mark on it.
One question:
Why don't my camera have the "slow Synchro" setting under "Flash Settings" - as mentioned in the manual.
