Review 2 of 32

Price Paid:  $619.00 from Frys Electronics

Summary:

Do not purchase the more expensive Canon Digitals.
Purchase this camera and with the money you saved, purchase the 75-300 IS lense, 100mm macro lense, couple extra batteries, 8gb card & a good case.
And then take pictures like the pros (don't forget a good tripod) and be proud of most of your shots. And the online video streams teach you how to use the cameras built-in abilities or go full manual.
LR

Strengths:

No messing around with looking at the pictures. Just take them. Easy access buttons that we use the most.

Weaknesses:

Are there any? Lowering the price would be asking too much.

Similar Products Used:

Sony.

Customer Service:

None needed so far.

Review 3 of 32

Price Paid:  $350.00 from jessops

Summary:

whilst owning this camera since christmas i have been very imprest. the focusing is fast, but in low light it can stuggle. the camera has great low noise performance at high iso, tho it becomes noticeable at 1600. the kit lens has nice clean optics, but it does feel a little plasticy. the lcd is slightly hard to see outdoors but this is easily overcome by a screen protector. the images from this camera are brilliant. the images are sharp and clean. i mainly shoot in raw with this camera and i have never really changed modes from manual. i find this camera extremely easy to navigate with its menu system and settings can be changed extremely. i would really recomend this camera to any first time user

Strengths:

image quality
niose control
quick start up
has a stat screen above the lcd
menu system

Weaknesses:

the hand grip is rather small
the kit lens has a plastic mount

Review 4 of 32

Price Paid:  $800.00 from Dell

Summary:

I bought this camera when first starting out in photography. WIthin a few months it started back-focusing. It was repaired, but I've taken it in 3 more times after that. It works great in between these little issues I've had.

Strengths:

Great price. Light weight. Good for starting out.

Weaknesses:

BACK-FOCUSING.

Review 5 of 32

Price Paid:  $999.00 from Best Buy

Summary:

My wife purchased this camera about a year ago. For the price that we paid at the time, I am not very happy with the overall product. It takes fairly decent pictures, but the stock lens is crap. We take very good care of the camera and lens, but now the lens sticks in certain areas. Looking through the sight glass is fuzzy most of the time. We had it cleaned and it is still like that. I would suggest that you purchase a new lense if you are going to get this camera.

THe picture quality is pretty good, but like I said, for the price I am expecting more. Now I know this camera has gone down in price considerably but I dont think I would pay the 600 or whatever it is going for now.

Strengths:

Pretty good quality pictures.

Weaknesses:

Cheap lens, price.
