The Canon Speedlite 380EX brings the technology of flash photography to a new level. It is the first shoe-mount flash unit to incorporate Canon''s exclusive E-TTL pre-stored evaluative auto flash control, while offering a wide range of other creative and operational functions including:

- Six-position auto zoom head for extended flash coverage from 24mm to 105mm.
- A powerful Guide Number ranging from 69 to 125 (ft. at ISO 100) based on the position of the auto zoom head.
- Automatic shut-off after 90 seconds of non-use to save energy and extend battery life.
