from Best Buy Model Reviewed: Canon S600 Summary: I find that this printer suits my needs well. I use it to print up graphics for Photoshop and 3D Studio, as well as some typical office documents. The photographs I print out are mainly black and white, with limited color. Resolution is high, colors are blended, and details and highlights are maintained. This is not a professional grade printer, and it should not be expected to turn out professional results, but it excels in the consumer market. I have been able to matte and frame photographs printed from this printer, and observers are unaware of the difference in printing. The only noticeable degrading between those and other traditionally printed photographs is some loss of depth. Strengths: Prints both graphics and text equally well. Ink has good longevity, and lasts much longer then older inkjet printers I have used. The individual color ink tank system theoretically saves money and eliminates waste. Easy to use. Weaknesses: Slight exaggeration of grain structure in smooth shadowed areas. Similar Products Used: HP inkjet printers (1998 and earlier models). Laser printers.
