Review 1 of 12

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

I HATE this camera. It has the worst color I have ever seen. It washes out everyone and everything. I am desperately searching for another one.

Strengths:

Clear pictures.

Weaknesses:

Lack of good color -- everything is always washed out.

Review 2 of 12

Price Paid:  $220.00 from local camera store

Summary:

I have 2 this model camera for myself, I also bought another, one for my mom, one for my friend (pro photographer). I feel is great camera. You cann't find any other snap shot camera has 1/1000 shutter. Also I usually shoot chrome, this camera can get right exposure (under normal case). I read one review talk about date stamp, I think he maybe use 35mm SLR a lot, that's why he doesn't get use to. I bought my fist z115 when it just came out, I have no more than 10 picture pepple with red eye, I guess some people have lot red eye problem because they forget that snap shot camera buldin flash only can reach 10 ft to 15 ft. Overall this is great camera, even some new model (2002) can not beat it.

Weaknesses:

zoom lens too slow( all the snap shot camera does same) flash too weak

Weaknesses:

Red Eye was present in almost every flash photograph

Review 4 of 12

Price Paid:  $180.00 from Camera World online

Summary:

Decent camera but I cannot recommend Canon due to poor reliability. This camera ws a replacement for the Canon 105 QD which is a piece of junk. The camera worked well overall. Some minor annoyances include: the date stamp is too much into the frame instead of the usual lower right corner, and the AF infrared receiver below the flash is too easy to be covered up by one''s finger. The worst thing about this camera is reliability. The zooming mechanism started failing after just 8 months. The zoom lens just wouldn''t catch right and you have to turn the camera on and off to force the lens to retract before the parts snaps back in place. Sent the camera in for repairs and the diagnosis was the baterry cover was defective. What does that have to do with the zoom mechanism not operating correctly? Needless to say, the problem subsided for awhile and started again after the 6 month repair warranty. I will not buy another Canon camera ever

Strengths:

Sharp pictures, easy to use.

Weaknesses:

Zooming mechanism failed after 8 months.

Similar Products Used:

Pentax IQ70, Ricoh, Canon 105 QD

Customer Service:

I found their diagnosis hard to believe. They blamed the zooming problem on the battery cover.

Review 5 of 12

Price Paid:  $219.00 from Wal-Mart

Summary:

I have used my Z115 several times a week for three years. No problems. It takes excellent daytime photos. Flash photos are good if you have enough lighting. It is a great camera for casual use. I would buy another Canon Z135 or 120.

Strengths:

Compact and easy to use.

Weaknesses:

Red eye reduction. Indoor photos.

Minolta and a Yashica T4
