Review 1 of 14

Price Paid:  $700.00 from Sunset Cameras

Summary:
I bought this camera in Dec. 2001. It broke a week and a half later. I sent it in to be repaired and have not seen that camera since. It''s now March 2002.

Strengths:
It''s easy to use for just about anyone. It''s light and compact for travel.

Weaknesses:
It tends to break easily. It has a problem with static lines across the mini screen that appears in the pictures.

Customer Service:
The customer service works as well as my new digital camera. I have been jerked around by everyone in the company and the repair people as well. No one cares to return my phone calls or emails. Instea

Review 2 of 14

Price Paid:  $799.00 from Futureshop (canadian

Summary:
was looking around for anything under $1000 canadian... came upon the fuji a lot within my area and started looking for comparisons and other people''s opinions... the reviews on this website convinced me to give it a try... so I did

Strengths:
clarity, small size, light weight, durable, good battery life, voice and video recording

Weaknesses:
LCD displays inaccurate colors in dim light (everything gets redder), controls aren''t intuitive, some options aren''t readily accessible (need to push too many buttons to get something like ''black & white'' mode), would like to see more options for this price range

Similar Products Used:
none, this is my best camera yet

Review 3 of 14

Price Paid:  $599.00 from Computers4sure

Summary:
When I was looking for a Digital Camera My priorities were small size and Good image quality. This camera deliver both. The best part about it is the ease of handling. I can hold the camera comfortanly withour fear of possibly dropping it. It als helps that it is ultra cool looking.

Strengths:
Small Size, Picture quality, comfortable feel, ultra-cool looks, easy to manipulate controls with one hand, simply picture accesss method, PC dock, Movie mode, Audio recording mode, 3x optical zoom, Knurled dial makes it easy to chnge modes.

Weaknesses:
Difficult to get working in Linux. No support for Windows NT. Both of these are not really Fuji''s fault though.

Similar Products Used:
Not so much used but reviewed and teste. Canon S100/s110 - Very small size and cool looking as well. Not very comfortable in my hands. Kodak DX series - Dockable cameras

Customer Service:
Haven''t had to call them yet.

Review 4 of 14

Price Paid:  $699.00 from future shop

Summary:
Wow! What a camera. The fuji 6800 is beautifully designed with many great features for all applications. Beautiful illuminated display panel and easy to learn menu system. I''m very pleased with it''s performance. The imaging is clear and sharp and colour reproduction is superior to other digital cameras i''ve operated. It has three ISO settings 100, 200, and 400; a manual setting for white balance ,focus, sharpness, exposure compensation, and even a flash brightness adjustment. The voice captioning is great you can record up to 30 secs of audio that complements your photo. This is an ideal feature for the tourist or work setting. You no longer have to wonder what the picture is about. This camera has many applications and it is such a superior camera to whats out there in its price range.

Strengths:
Too many fabulous features to mention. Nice compact solid camera that produces super pictures, 120sec movie (mpeg) files, easy load and charge system. It''s a camera that would please any novice to professional photographer.

Weaknesses:
The only weakness I found was the time it takes the camera to write to the media card when taking 6M pictures. There is alot of information to process. Ir was a slight delay but I usually take 3.3 mega pixel pictures. The camera operates fast and accurate otherwise.

Similar Products Used:
I''ve compared the fuji 6800 to other 3.3 mega pixel digital cameras. (Nikon, Olympus, Minolta) You get your dollars worth and more with the fuji. It out performs the rest.

Wow! What a camera. Mega features: fully automatic for point and shoot; manual functions galore including flash brightness adjustment, exposure compensation, sharpness, etc. 3 ISO settings 100, 200, and 400. Even voice captioning to complement each photo. This is one fantastic camera with many features and applications to suit any novice or pro.

Strengths:
Beautiful true colours. Crisp clear imaging. Easy use for novice users and many extras for intermediate to pro level photographers. Beautifully designed camera with illuminated display panel.

Weaknesses:
Slower processing at high Quality (compression ratio) 6 million pixels setting or 2832x2128. A few seconds delay between shots to write to the media card.

Similar Products Used:
This camera is far superior to the other minolta, canon and olympus cameras I have operated. It''s one of the best on the market!
