Review 2 of 10

Price Paid:  $249.00 from Kmart

Summary:
Bought as a film camera snapshot backup. I have ended carrying it most of the time, in case a photo opportunity arises. I'm amazed at the image quality it delivers. The skies usually look somewhat washed but could easily be fixed with the bundled software. In spite of the listed shortcomings, the FinePix 2300 is a real good value for its price. I do highly recommend it to anyone wishing to enter the digital photgraphy field; you won't be dissapointed.

Strengths:
- Amazing image quality - Hardly any noise on dark areas - Takes common AA batteries - Very low battery comsumption - Takes SmartCards - No digital zoom at maximum resolution - Light weight - Excellent value for its price - Excellent bundled software, both Fuji's FinePix Viewer and Ulead's PhotoImpact (the latter is very, very good) - Ease of use

Weaknesses:
- Cannot adjust for light source in Auto Mode - Self-timer available in Auto Mode only - Frequent lens flare when shooting with flash - Somewhat unsharp LCD screen - Focus range gap (macro: 8-15cm, normal: 80cm-8) - Cannot tell frame edges when looking through viewfinder - Not a real-image viewfinder - Not pocketable

Review 3 of 10

Price Paid:  $289.00 from Cosco

Summary:
If you take a lot of pictures, eg. you have kids, stop doing the film thing and go digital with this little puppy! You don't need an optical zoom. Just step forward or backward one step.

Strengths:
Small, lightweight, put in your pocket and go. Great pictures! AA batteries are cheap to replace and this camera doesn't go through them like some.

Weaknesses:
Only one for us and it's minor. No lenscap. We bought a nice little case for it and it's no problem!

Similar Products Used:
Our first digital camera purchase. Have owned many 35mm and 6x7 cameras.

Customer Service:
none needed so far.

Review 4 of 10

Price Paid:  $170.00 from HSN

Summary:
The best digital camera I found at a low price. Takes excellent close-up photos with or without the zoom! Excellent quality. Lightweight & compact. Replace that old camera that holds film! Being able to view the pictures you take instantly right on the camera is great! You can''t go wrong with this camera!

Strengths:
2.1 megapixels at a low price Fast & simple downloading to computer - cannot get any easier! Portable & Lightweight Easy to delete pictures you don''t want to keep Carrying case was included

Weaknesses:
1. Fuji batteries that came with camera didn''t last long at all! Must have received a bad batch...replaced batteries and so far they''ve lasted a long time. 2. No cover for the lens.

none
