Strength:

Price If you want them to use for slide shows they are very good.

Weakness:

Push ability Not recomended for larger prints

I have used this slide film to shoot outdoor. When i got back the slides i thought wauw good colors, sharp and bright images. But when got some of them printed in a larger size (20 X 30cm) the results were really poor. Very low saturated color, the sharpness was dissapointing and massive grain in pictures of skies and in skin tones. In some pictures the colors were ok but overall not satisfying.

Strength:

Minimal Grain Neutral balance Price!!!!!!!! Good exposure latitude.

Weakness:

Fuji have recently released velvia 100 apart from that none.

A good film for general purpose photography. Minimal grain, nice vibrant colours and low contrast. I've shot a fair few rolls of this stuff and can't really fault it for the price (if i buy it in bulk, it's $14 less than velvia!!!). If you want a neutral film or just trying slides for the first time, you won't be dissapointed, if you want the x-factor go velvia.

Strength:

Great colour rendition & saturation Cheaper than pro emulsions but camparible Good exposurelatitude as far as slide film goes

Weakness:

Cannot see any

I like this film a lot. My introduction to silde film was with Sensia 100, and when I got the results back I wondered why I didn't switch to trannies years before. Used it on the Great Ocean Road in Austalia recently and it really captured the intense sunsets & coastal areas acurately. Some images almost had a 3D aspect when viewed with light box. Used Kodak E100SW in Byron Bay & Mt Warning Nat Park but didn't compare in my opinion

Strength:

Good all-around slide. Cheap. Ok grain and OK colour. Great for green/yellow colours (nature, wild, etc.)

Weakness:

-Colours can come out washed (when compared to the other slides). -Definitely the worst choice of Fuji when doing photographs of the sea / or where blue is dominant.

This is a great all-around film and it is very cheap (compared to the others). However, I do not recommend it when the blue colour is dominant/important. Blue usually comes washed and displeasing, because this slide likes yellow a lot. Also with the rolls I have shot, I rate it ISO 120, because it tends to overexpose a bit on I100 - not so with other slides.

Color, cost.

Weakness:

None

Great film! The colors I get are amazing. I'll never shoot print film again. I always wanted to know how some photographers get the colors they do, and now I can do the same. The sharpness and color that this film delivers surprises me again and again. I just got back from my cruise in Alaska, and it was overcast the entire time in Alaska, but I we did sail out of Vancouver on a sunny day and I simply can't believe how this film captures the blue sky... so deep and saturated. Like cklondon below says, get them from Blacks in Canada. It's about $12 CDN ($8 USD) for a roll including processing. Doesn't get any cheaper.

Strength:

Great bang for your buck. My friend has used this for underwater photography for years and recommended it to me after I was spending oodles of money on other brands and processing (almost twice as much). Blacks in Canada is Fuji owned and their pre-processed slide film is Sensia, at about $12 CDN, this is a steal compared to the proce of slide film and processing of other brands. 3 - 4 day wait is a pain (local store doesn't do E6), but other than that, for general shots, great stuff.

Strength:

Good colors Contrast OK Dependable results

Weakness:

It's not a "professional" film

This is the first roll of slide film I ever shot, and I was amazed at the color saturation and crisp grain for Fuji's general purpose, non-professional slide film. I have since shot Kodak's Elite 100 and have not found really many appreciable differences. This film is not as high-performance as Provia 100F and can't touch the grain-less quality of Velvia, but it is a good general slide film to use. I've tried all the slide films that come in "yellow boxes" and would go back to Fuji as a first choice every time. My wife will shoot Sensia and get good results even though she is much more proficient with print films. As a "workhorse" film for general outdoor use (mostly scenics and wildlife) this film will perform well, though a more discriminating user will most likely prefer Fuji Provia.

Strength:

Excellent Colour Very sharp Nice and smoooooth with grain free skies Price

Weakness:

None this stuff is perfectamundo

I used 12 rolls of this film on my holiday in Italy, Hong Kong and England. All the photos came out really well. I took all my photos with a Pentax FA-50mm f/1.4 on my MZ-50. With the fast lens this film was fine even for dimly lit places like St Paul's. They all came out very sharp with excellent colour. I also got some very nice night time city shots from the apartment roof in Hong Kong (with tripod of cause). I also had some prints made up from them. They turned out much better than prints made from many print films i've used. I can highly reccomend this as a general purpose travel film provided you have a reasonably fast lens. The price at the top is also in Australian $'s.
