Strengths:

Weaknesses:

Resolution lens options

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $299.00 from Staples

Summary:

Compared all brands, and just getting into digital photography decided to purchase based on price and biggest "bang for the buck". No other model could compare with what came with the HP. bought additional 128 mb memory and now can expect 115~120 high quality pictures.

Strengths:

Very high quality pictures for 2.1 megapixels. Easy of use. Easy to use menu.

Weaknesses:

Rather large for digital. Weak flash. options expensive.

Similar Products Used:

Olympus, Canon, Fuji (borrowed from friends to try).

Customer Service:

Not needed.

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Target

Summary:

I have mixed results with the quality of the pictures. Some are good, others are very low quality. I would recomend the Fuji over this unit. It also seems a bit light and brittle. The internal memory will hold roughly 15 pictures.

Strengths:

the convenience of not developing and the quick upload time.

Weaknesses:

inexpensive

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Metro

Summary:

Easy to use camera with good quality pictures. Colours for outdoor pictures are very clear. Indoor pictures with flash are a bit dull. Good quality low light pictures can be taken by turning off flash (if nothing is moving). Picture transfer is a bit slow using the USB connector cable and power still uses battery as opposed to using power available through USB port. I would suggest using a separate card reader rather than the relatively expensive docking station. Only adjustments are flash and resolution settings, so attempts to influence the automatic exposure settings must be via the flash.

Strengths:

Easy to use picture quality/clarity

Weaknesses:

weak flash lack of setting control docking station/power adapter not included

Similar Products Used:

upgraded from Agfa CL-18 (640 X 480)

Customer Service:

not yet required

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $330.00 from My computer supplier

Summary:

I find this to be a very good camera! I had another, older 1.3 MP digital camera and it's amazing how vastly superior the HP is! I like how easy it is to use, plus the picture quality is rather impressive. The LCD screen on the back of the camera is also very clear, and makes viewing pictures straight after taking them a total breeze! I really enjoy my new HP!

Strengths:

Picture quality Ease of use Build quality

Weaknesses:

Battery life (about 150-200 exposures per set of batteries) Limited built-in memory

Similar Products Used:

None

Customer Service:

Haven't needed to find out yet... camera worked flawlessly from day 1.
