Summary:

GREAT CAMERA!!!!!!!! It is simple to operate and has alot of the features of the the more expensive cameras, but costs alot less. I paid $169.96 at WalMart. The software is easy to use and makes this whole package a dream to own. I tried pictures on all three quality settings and they come out wonderful. I especially like the idea that I can change the Flashcard to add more memory. I use many different camera's at work and all cost four to five times this one. I cannot believe that this camera cost so little and packs such a big punch. I love it. Hewlett Packard did it again.

Strengths:

Cost. Easy of use. LCD monitor on back. Allows three different photo qualities. Easy menu built in.

Weaknesses:

Haven't found any yet.

Similar Products Used:

Kodac digital cameras and Nikon 35mm.

Customer Service:

Haven't used them.

Review 3 of 26

Summary:

This camera takes excellent digital images. After three months, the camera would not come on, necessitating a return to HP for warranty exchange. HP was very courteous and handled my situation professionally and promptly. The service is very good, as HP stands behind their products.

Strengths:

Excellent images. The camera ships with an eight mb Compactflash card, allowing more image storage. Built in flash, easy to operate and totable size make this camera a good value in the one megapixel field.

Weaknesses:

The camera quit. It would not turn on or allow the LCD to operate either. Before quitting completely, the camera refused to download images via the serial cable. The camera cannot take very much outdoor use or heavy wear and tear.

Similar Products Used:

Olympus 340R, Polaroid 200

Customer Service:

In a word, excellent.

Review 4 of 26

Summary:

This is an excellent starter camera with little ability to take bumps and outdoor use. This is unfortunate as digital is replacing film use, and this user would use this camera in place of film cameras whenever possible. There has to be more durable digital cameras out there than this one. It lasted three months before it totally expired, quit, finis. What a ride it was as the images it produces are very good indeed.

Strengths:

Excellent images, easy to use, built-in flash, 2x digital zoom, small and easy to carry

Weaknesses:

Uses batteries quickly on digital zoom, rechargeables a must, at two months lost serial cable download, at three months camera would not turn on.

None

Review 5 of 26

Summary:

Excellent product for the non professional and for the price ($299)

Strengths:

Very easy to use, a child could master this camera. Takes excellent quality pictures and I have used with 48 mb flashcard which stores 120 good quality pictures, which was handy when I was on vacation with no access to my computer. I have 3 friends who have also bought this camera on my recommendation and they are delighted with the results.

Weaknesses:

Software does not interact well with other programs (Adobe and Microsoft) which means you just have to save using the HP software, then you can edit from other programs. Batteries drain fast if you use the LCD screen for any longer than 10 minutes.

Similar Products Used:

I know friends who have bought Sony, Fuji and Kodak cameras and they think mine is easier to use.

Customer Service:

Website has a customer support area and the one problem I had with interacting with other programs was answered and solved within 12 hours.
