Hewlett-Packard Photosmart M537

This camera just got past its warranty period by a couple of weeks and then it decided to quit on me. When you turn on the power the lens extends but the lens cover closes. When the camera is powered off the opposite happens. The lens retracts and the lens cover opens. I’ve researched the problem and have read a number of reviews where this happens to HP digital cameras.
I contacted HP support who offered no repair facility, made no comment on the obvious problems they have with this model and offered a $100 exchange. Yes I really want to spend a further $100 on a problem camera.
Verdict, poor product and poor response from HP support, no service or repair facility.
