Summary:

Very easy to use - nice interface to change settings. Really eats batteries up if you use the the LCD Panel review of your pictures. Once I got used to the camera, I just turned off the picture review and shoot. I wish it had better clarity with nature shots in high res mode ! It seems when I take pictures of people or things that will focus on up close the pictures are really clear - If I take a nature shot in high res. it seems to be a little fuzzy. However all pictures taken at 640 X 480 are all very clear. All in all a nice camera for the beginner/intermediate looking for a point and shoot digital camera. I would also recommend getting a USB interface or PC Card interface to put your memory card in to get your pictures off the camera and on to your PC - its way faster !

Strengths:

Very easy to use. Comes with AC adapter so you can plug it in while downloading pictures to your PC

Weaknesses:

Uses batteries very fast !

Summary:

I work for a lawfirm and we use the camera to document inspections, accident sites and evidence. I hand the camera to a lawyer and send them on their way, when they return, they give me the camera, I download the photos and e-mail them to the client. Instantly someone in Boston can understand had an accident occurred in Texas. This camera is very easy to use (if a lawyer can do it, anyone can).

Strengths:

extremely easy to use; and the camera is well built -- it is not always handled with kid gloves and yet we have had no problems with it

Weaknesses:

Heavy

Similar Products Used:

Regular camera, we would then have the film developed and either scan the photo into a computer, or if the attorney remembered to request a disk at the time of developing, used the jpg, then would e-mail the photos; this often took days to get the finished product.

Customer Service:

One of the attorneys accidently threw away the owner's manual. I was able to download the information immediately.

Summary:

The Kodak DC-210 Plus was the first digital camera that I ever used. I purchased it through a grant in my school to use for a classroom business. We made buttons, badges, mugs, calendars, etc. with students' pictures on them. The quality of the picture was GREAT! Parents of students were amazed at the quality. Colors were very accurate. The pictures are very sharp adn crisp. My students were thrilled with the ease of use of the camera. I have used several other cameras since this one, including a few of the newer and more expensive Kodak models, and I honestly believe that I got the best quality pictures from the DC-210 Plus.

Strengths:

Price: one of the less expensive models now. Color accuracy: VERY accurate. Sharp, crisp picture.

Weaknesses:

May be hard to find now that the newer models have been released. Printable picture size is limited due to the smaller pixel count. Limited "professional" options such as add on lenses and flash hot shoe.

Summary:

Very good for basic and intermediate users. Very good resolution for printing. Very easy to use. I suggest buying rechargeable batteries to use with this camera. Also, buy a compact flash card reader to save time and batteries.

Strengths:

2X zoom ease of use very few artifacts. Picture quality is comparable or better than an ordinary point and shoot camera.

Weaknesses:

no lens cover. eats up the battery very quickly. serial transfer is rather slow.

Similar Products Used:

none

Customer Service:

No problems yet and I've been using it for 20 months now.
