Review 1 of 26

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Office Max

Summary:

Very good camera if you are going to be using it indoors or outside with no sun. When you take pictures outside in the sun the pictures turn out too bright. Otherwise a terrific camera.

Strengths:

Fast pictures needed in a hurry. Indoor shots and outdoor with no sun, pictures turn out good.

Weaknesses:

Do not take pictures with this camera in the sun. Pictures turn out washed out or too bright.

Customer Service:

Never had to use it yet.

Review 2 of 26

Price Paid:  $370.00 from Best Buy

Summary:

I really like this camera. It beats the heck out of my Minolta SLR and my Canon for ease of use, flexibility, and utility. Picture quality is very good for a camera of this price, and it gives you a LOT of options for quality, flash, color, black/white/magenta, etc., etc. This is a camera I have recommended to my sons and other relatives. I let my relatives use the camera, and two others have also bought the same model. I have put a lot of pictures on the web, and the quality is much better than pictures I have to scan, and it is easy to upload pics to my computer. This is even a better deal now because the price has come down since I bought mine.

Strengths:

Ease of use, flexibility, size, available options, and price.

Weaknesses:

This would be the perfect camera if it had a 10x zoom and an LCD that can be seen in bright light.

Customer Service:

Very good. I dropped my camera, and broke the power switch. Kodak fixed it at no charge.

Review 4 of 26

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Kit''s Camera

Summary:

I have had my DC3400 for a year and love it. I find it easy to use.Knowing nothing about camera settings, I have found the settings on this camera to be just right as a point and shoot camera.

Strengths:

Wondeful color and detail. I have taken a lot of close ups of flowers and every vein in flower and leaf shows clearly. Pictures print beautifully up to 8x10 with no graininess nor fuzziness.

Weaknesses:

I would prefer a larger screen for viewing shots that have been taken. The screen is too small to decide whether or not a shot is a keeper.

Similar Products Used:

I feel the pictures compare very well to my 35mm camera and are, perhaps even better.

Customer Service:

Review 5 of 26

Summary:

This is a great camera for the buck. I saw the MSRP and found it cheaper through yahoo.com shopping. Save a hundred or so. Takes great pictures, easy to use, and has the feel of a regular camera. Strongly recommended for those looking for a good camera but don't want to spend more than $400-$500.
It has the viewfinder to look at the pic's while you snap them as well as after you snap them, but to save battery life you you can take pic's like a regular camera throught he little eyelet hole. The viewfinder drains power like you wouldn't believe. But ALL the digital cameras do. You can't get away from it.
It takes either battery packs or regular AA batteries.
The picture quality is as good as any of them. As good if not better than some more expensive models. PC World rated this camera very high in picture quality and overall value.

Strengths:

Great pics. Great features. Easy to use. Operates like a regular camera, little learning curve.

Weaknesses:

Battery life. But again, ALL digital cameras burn the juice.

Similar Products Used:

None that are digital. Only the Advantix cameras.
