Installation, configuration and deployment are a breeze. Configuration and deployment was done using a browser interface. This printer took all of 5 minutes to setup and configure. It was deployed to 80 users on a LAN in less than 2 hours. The quality of the print jobs was noticeably better and considerably faster than a high end HP Laser Printer (8500n). As the manufacturer specified, the first color page to print was right on time. (17 seconds) And subsequent pages printed 2 – 3 seconds faster than specified. (10 seconds) The users of this printer immediately commented on the quality and speed of the documents produced. The colors were sharper, cleaner and more life like without any modifications done to the color profiles. When color profiles were “tweaked” the results were marginally better. Good enough to fool an end user to think that they were looking at an authentic photograph. This of course was printed on high quality photographic grade paper. We haven’t had it very long but if our current experience is any indication of how this printer will perform, we are already very happy campers.

Setup, Cost of ownership, Management, Remote access.

Maintainence or Service. In the event of a breakdown, there are no local companies that can service this printer. To attain this level of service, the system would have to be boxed and shipped to the nearest service center. This also may be due to the age of the product.
