Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $89.00 from Harvey Normals

Summary:

This printer was walking out the door as Harvey's were not interested in keeping them on their floor anymore. A bargain pick up at $89 !!!! If anything i though it will be a handy CF card reader and also print proof sheets on site using a 12v car adapter. Although it is now stuck in the japanese language audio mode.... I can get by.

Strengths:

Versatility... What other printer can let you view - print proof sheets - edit and manage your image files away from 240v (if you have a car adaptor)

Weaknesses:

Farking Sloooooow ( Take note Kodak/Lexmark ) I've seen dogturds roll down a hill faster than this printer can churn out even a simple B&W text page, let alone a full colour Hi-res photo... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ CARTRIDGE COST - Ye GODS! you theiveing barstardos.

Similar Products Used:

Ye-olde and tough as nails - EPSON Photo700 No Comparison. As old as my epson is, It will still knock the Kodak PPM200 into next Xmas! On speed and overall consumable use...HANDS DOWN

Customer Service:

There is some?

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Camera House

Model Reviewed:
kodak pm200

Summary:

Like the others I bought this with the digital camera deal. Unlike the others I havnt been overly happy with it.My patners a IT expert and he says it's the slowest printer he's ever seen.Plus with Win 98 you can't print in draft mode which makes ink usage expensive, plus replacement cartridges are getting ridiculously expensive.

Strengths:

Quality is good, but certainly not up to your local photoshop level. I have to say it is good value for the money, and a great place to start if your interested in photography, but dont have alot of dollars to spend.

Weaknesses:

This printer is soooooo slooooooow it drives me mad.Im a photographer and print out artwork, which can take me up to 20 min for one A4 print!Text printing is also slow.A little on the noisy side.

Similar Products Used:

This is my first Photo Quality printer, LexmarkZ42

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $19999.00 from Wal-Mart

Model Reviewed:
Kodak PPM200

Summary:

I purchased this product as a package that included a DC3200 digital camera. The printer is great. Just as good as the Kodak Picture Maker machines in the drug stores. In some cases even better quality.

Strengths:

Near Photo Quality (Best I have seen so far) Ability to be used without the use of a computer. The USB connection to the computers allows you to still use a standard printer. The combination of a Photo and color cartridge to create photos. Built in CF and Smart Card reader. Zip drive connector

Weaknesses:

No power switch. Slow printing time USB Input port can not be read by the computer.
