I've only shot 2 rolls of it, just to let you know. Grain is fine, colors are fairly strong(and accurate) but not over the top, contrast is right where I like it. Overall, this is an excellent all around slide film.
The only problem I had is it's supposed to be warmer isn't it? The difference is minimal. Okay, it can enhance an already warm sunlit landscape, but in cloudy or overcast conditions, a warm up filter is still necessary. I'd rather shoot E100VS for it's colors that "pop" and use a warm up filter when needed.

This film is to replace 100SW with a much finer grain, and it seems to be an excellent all around film for me. The film is slightly warm and quite resistant to various conditions, e.g., under overcast sky, that would otherwise give a blue cast over your pictures. It is not overly saturated like Velvia, or 100VS/EBX and it shows a lot of shadow details under contrasy conditions (e.g., bright sunny sky). The grain of GX is indeed finer than that of the 100SW, even though I do not dislike what 100SW has to offer. The 100SW is sharp, while the 100GX is smooth with excellent resolution. In many ways, the 100GX is very similar to Fuji’s Provia RDFII. The Provia is more bluish/greenish, while the 100GX is warmer. Although I like this film, I don't think it replaces 100SW, which has its unique properties that many enjoy using. I hate to see it go.
Strengths:
grain and details in the shadow and highlight. The slightly warmer tone makes it a very good all around film.

Summary:
I only shot two rolls of this film, so my experience is limited, but I didn’t like it much.
The grain was very fine, but the sharpness was lacking.
My major problem with it was that it looks very thin. Blacks are not that black and highlights are not that white. That wouldn’t be bad if you retained detail in both, but you don’t. You end up with washed out grey highlights, and muddy grey blacks.
The saturation and skin tones are good however.

Not much real dynamic range from dark to light.

Wow, what a great film! I tried Provia and E100GX for my new baby, and I LOVE the tones in this film. Maybe it's because my baby's pale and white and this darkens him slightly, but I love it. Provia made him look too light, a little bluish. Other colors pop and look great. Grain is unnoticeable for my scans and under 8x loupe, so for me this is grainless. I usually shoot outdoors with Velvia, maybe I should give this a shot for them too.

GREAT colors, fine grain, good scans.
Weaknesses:
$$$. Okay, so I got it at a pricey store to try out, I can save when I buy it mail order.

The E100GX assure the replacement of the E100SW.
I Was a inconditionnal user of the E100SW since 1996, now I
would change for this renewed and improved version.
Strengths:
- Excellent color rendition
(neutral, a bit warm just enough)
- Good shadows details
(less saturated than the E100SW)
- Better high light details
Weaknesses:
- Grain not so much finer as Kodak say (compared to the E100SW)
