Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $1.00 from Konica Store

Summary:

I purchased a few rolls of R100 for 99 cents each. They were short dated (but not yet expired). Basically I would buy this film again if I was desperate and needed a dirt-cheap slide film.

Strengths:

Sharp, relatively fine grain, inexpensive.

Weaknesses:

Film had a very subtle yellowish-green cast, which was more noticable in dark shadow areas.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $3.00

Summary:

I used about 10 rolls of them. I was not satisfies with the results. I sent them to Fuji ProLab, Kodak Prolab, and Konica Prolab to see the difference. Actually, Fuji Prolab was the worst for this film and Konica and the Kodak were almost the same. I also used Konica Sinra 100 High Grade slide film and it is better than R-100. Now they have Sinbi 100 & 200 but I have not tried them yet. They say they are much better than before. Well, the weakest point of this film is that its black colour is not really black. It is greynish black.

Strengths:

Cheap. White clour is nice. Very natural.

Weaknesses:

Black colour is not good.

Similar Products Used:

Most of Agfa, Konica, Imation, Fuji and Kodak slide films.

Review 3 of 5

Summary:

I shoot a couple of rolls, but the result didn't impress on me. This film feels old.
Agfa RSX is a better choice for those wanting natural, neutral colours.

Strengths:

* Quite inexpensive
* Quite sharp
* Colours free from colour cast but...

Weaknesses:

* Bland colours, a bit "grey" and boring.
* More grain than the competition

Similar Products Used:

Agfa RSX, RSX II, CTi, CTx, CT Precisa
Fujichrome 50, Provia 100
Kodachrome 64 and 200, Ektachrome 100 and Elite 100

Review 4 of 5

Summary:

although I consider this film to be good I prefer Fuji and Kodak 100 ASA slide films - they are less grainy, sharper and with clearer colors.

Strengths:

slightly cheaper than Kodak/Fuji/Agfa counterparts
good skin tones
natural colors

Weaknesses:

grainier than Fuji/Kodak 100 ASA slide films

Similar Products Used:

most of 100 ASA slide films from Kodak, Fuji and Agfa

Review 5 of 5

Summary:

A good and useful allround slide film. There are better around if You like vivid colours and super sharp grain.

Strengths:

This film made by Konica is very good. Not as flashy colours as Fuji Velvia, and not as "true" colors as Kodachrome 64, but for this speed and price, You get a good performer.

Weaknesses:

As descripted before...

Similar Products Used:

Almost every color slide film available in Sweden...
