Summary:
The Leica M4 was the last of the Leica M series to not contain a built in light meter. This means the camera runs WITHOUT a battery! Personally I love not having to worry about battery life and always knowing the camera will run whenever I need it too. I have two handheld lightmeters which always do the job and at least one of them will have enough battery power to go. The Leica M4 is a simple to use, fully manual camera that will deliver what you desire with spectacular clarity and sharpness. You can take blur free images at very low shutter speeds both because the camera is a rangefinder camera (and thus has no vibrations from the mirror moving out of the way) but also because it is incredibly lightweight. Add a 35mm lens to the camera and it will fit in your pocket like a compact camera, which makes for amazing candid street photography. I absolutely love this camera and would never trade it for any of the more fancier M line cameras, primarily because I know that due to its complete lack of electronics it will run forever if I take good care of it.

Strengths:
-Crisp sharp images
-Amazing lenses
-Lightweight and small
-Fully manual
-No battery

Weaknesses:
-No internal light meter
-Lenses and spare parts are ridiculously expensive

Customer Service:
Leica service is great but extremely expensive.
