Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Ebay

Summary:

This lens may be an oldie, but it is still a goodie. 20-35mm is a range that I love to shoot in and this lens fit that bill exactly. I use it on my Nikon D200 DSLR with no problems. The 20-35mm produces excellent results and is great for indoor and outdoor photography.

I have heard that the newer 17-35 is supposedly better, but this lens is still an outstanding lens for it's age and they are selling for half the price of the 17-35mm on Ebay.

Strengths:

All metal construction, high speed with quick autofocus. Sharpness and clarity of pictures. This lens is built like a tank.

Weaknesses:

This lens is a heavy one. Not a wide angle anymore on DSLR's, Does not have the newer Silent motor of modern AF-S lenses

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $500.00 from ebay

Summary:

I bought it thinking in a DSLR. On film I use almost ervery time a 28mm and a 50mm. It´s a big and heavy piece of glass. I heve used it on film and it´s great, very very sharp and very nice colours. I have found a new world in the 20mm that I will miss on a DSLR.

Strengths:

Very very sharp, any distortion at all. you can find it "cheap" nowadays (I suppose becouse his short- very short on a DSLR- end.

Weaknesses:

Big and heavy, but it whoth the effort
