Nikon Coolpix P60

I was excited to get the P60 for a very reasonable price given the features the camera has (which suit my needs well). However, in my few short weeks of owning it, I have had numerous issues with the camera locking up, powering down without prompt (but not retracting the lens), and not being able to exit out of some menus. I am hoping this is an individual camera fluke and not an entire product/design issue...
