Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $110.00 from Ebay

Summary:
Excellent lens. Use it on my Pronea 6i. The 20mm setting gives a very good wide angle perspective for APS photography and the results are very sharp edge-to-edge.

Strengths:
3X zoom range coupled with excellent resolution at widest angle.

Weaknesses:
Somewhat large for a normal lens, but not heavy.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Nikon Canada

Summary:
On the surface, this seems like a great lens. Low price, excellent range (20mm-60mm). It's too good to be true, though. This lens is HORRIBLE. I have no issues with build quality, AF speed or anything of that sort. It all comes down to image quality -- every shot I have taken with this lens is incredibly out of focus. I bought this lens because I am a fan of wider angles -- between 20mm and 28mm or so, and it sucks immensely. It's nothing more than a paperweight now. I don't use it at all.

Strengths:
Lightweight, cheap

Weaknesses:
Extraordinarily poor image quality. Photos are always unsharp, no matter the aperture, lighting conditions, or tripod useage.

Customer Service:
Sent this lens to Nikon for repair. I even sent sample pictures taken with this lens and other lenses of the exact same scenes. All of the pictures from the 20-60mm were out of focus. Nikon sent the l

Model Reviewed:
IX-Nikkor 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6

Summary:
Bought only because of a great offer at Ritzcamera, together with the Pronea6i body and the 60-180mm telephoto for $425,-!!!
What I really don't like are these plastic, "cheap made" lens mounting rings, but mabe I'm wrong - time will show. At this price it's a deal you shouldn't miss.

Strengths:
Lightweight, compact, fast.

Weaknesses:
Plastic mounting ring.
