Summary: When in need of this focal length, no need to worry with this one. There will be great results if you do YOUR part of the work well! I haven´t used any other comparable lens f-lenght wise in 645 format, so my judgement is based simply on my experience gatting super-sharp images with this lens. (I own the Nikon Series E 100mm/2,8, which is absolutely faboulus in sharpness (when not shooting against the light) used on my Nikon FE/F-801, so there could be a comparision made between these two.But that will include the difference in format as well as lens performance.Nevertheless, I state that I love them both within their respective formats, the Pentax beeing the better one in back-light and when larger sized pictures are to be printed. Strengths: Compact, lightweight and with very good balnce on camera.Good grip and "feel" of both focusing & aperture rings.Built-in hood.Sits very steady on tripod since it´s so light. Sharp, very sharp. Great when you like a lens comparable in focal lenght to 100mm in 35 format. Weaknesses: ...mine doesn´t autofocus, but neither does my manual 645 camera, so... And, of course, a somewhat bigger aperture would be just great, at a price (& weight...) though. Similar Products Used: Borrowed Mamyia 1000S with 45 & 200 (210?) lenses. Also borrowed Rolleiflex twin-reflex Tessar 75/3,5 Customer Service: Not needed.
