Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $360.00 from Foto Konijnenberg, Holland (2nd hand)

Summary:
This lens is a dream for landscape photography. I use it as my "wide standard" lens, my preferred choice when I can take only one lens with me.
It can hold it's own against Hasselblad's comparable 60mm at a fraction of the cost.

Strengths:
*very sharp
*very pleasing color rendition
*holds its performance very well across the aperture range
*gives a natural perspective, just like a normal lens, but with a wider angle of view
*smooth focus action

Weaknesses:
*As all P67 lenses, it's rather large
*expensive 82mm filters

Review 2 of 2

Model Reviewed:
SMCP 67 75mm f/4.5

Summary:
If you want a 'wide-standard' lens this works well -as long as you can put up with limited maximum aperture and 82mm filters.

Strengths:
Excellent sharpness and contrast at all apertures - even wide open. Excellent drawing. Accurate and well saturated colour (Provia/Velvia). Provides very natural-looking perspective similar to 35mm lens on 35mm SLR (61 degree angle of view).

Weaknesses:
Surprisingly bulky. 82mm filter thread! Maximum aperture of f4.5 gives rather dim viewfinder image in poor light.

Customer Service:
Not tried yet - reputedly quite pricey in UK.
