Review 1 of 13

Price Paid:  $240.00 from Wal-Mart

Summary:
This is the first Point-N-Shoot I ever bought and I've been extemely happy with it. I use it mostly in situations where I don't want to carry a heavy SLR all day. The 200mm zoom is great and the camera works well in most photo situations. The flash is powerful and the red eye works to reduce (but not eliminate) demon eye. I also like that you can turn the flash and red eye off if wanted. The 1/400 minimum shutter speed is fast enough for most action shots and I've gotten great results at football games, airshows, and kids playing. The maximum 2 second exposure works well for night shots and bulb mode (with IR remote) gave wonderful results at Carlsbad Caverns. The autofocus is accurate and there's also what I call an 'instamatic' infinite mode for greater depth of field shots. All in all, this is a great PNS that can deliver quality shots in just about any photo situation, and is small enough to fit in a belly-bag or purse.

Strengths:
Small and light weight. Can turn off flash and red eye. "Instamatic" focus mode. Single CR123 battery lasts a long time.

Weaknesses:
Lack of manual controls but the auto does a great job in most situations. No manual focus. Weak macro focus.

Review 2 of 13

Price Paid:  $1000.00 from Melbourne, Australia

Summary:
I love it when I first bought this camera. Pictures were nice for me. Design is handsome. Even now, when people sees it, they say, nice camera. After travelling to several places in groups, I realized even very cheap cameras can give out much better picture quality than this given the same shot. This becomes obvious especially when everyone poses for group shots and had the tour guide use everyone's camera to take the shot. Even beach shot doesn't give much sharpness and vivid colors. Forget about using zoom. Sharpness degrades further. It can yield satisfactory result in low light as long as you switch the mode to night. Close distance photography can't be done. It will be out of focus. But there's a workaround. Step back, zoom in. The lens at a minimum of 48mm is almost always a pain in taking group pictures. While everyone takes out their camera, aim then shoot; mine is, take out the camera, aim, move backward, aim, move backward, aim, then shoot. This camera made me realize how nice it is to have a 35mm lens. The viewfinder is very difficult to look at. People who used my camera often had a hard time looking through the lens. This often makes me lose a candid shot. It's easy to use. I like the feel of its shutter release button, zoom level. Switch modes can be difficult to turn sometimes. Especially in cold weather or wet weather. Never tried panoramic shot. This is one of the most useless feature in cameras. It's also bulky. Although light-weight.

Strengths:
- handsome look - has zoom that comes in handy if you need it in once in a blue moon requirement shot. - shutter button has a nice feel

Weaknesses:
I've said enough from the review summary. I don't wish to add more to the list.

Customer Service:
So far no problem yet. Still functions as new.

Review 4 of 13

Price Paid:  $0.00 from amazon.com

Summary:
The camera is good. Especially when used with a kodak 400 iso. After developing a few rolls, it has given me very sharp pictures. It was better than expected. It is easy to use. The close up shots are the best. The LCD display is good and shows vital things. The various modes are also good and gives clear pictures. Though its hard to remember which mode is for what but once you get the hang of it (after a few clicks )and if properly used, results are best quality pictures.

Strengths:
Various modes. Zoom lens. Light weight. Easy to learn and use.

Weaknesses:
none

Review 5 of 13

Price Paid:  $280.00 from http://www.aaacamera.com/iqzoom200.html

Summary:
This camera is great for it's size. The portability of the entire camera with the 200mm zoom is fantastic. The quality of the pictures tends to vary. I have taken some fantastic shots, and some not-so-good shots. Unfortunately, I cannot recall doing anything different to justify the difference in the quality of the picture. My Olympus IS-20 is very much as 'what you see is what you get' camera. Every picture I take with it comes out within my expectations. I wish I could say the same for this Pentax.

Strengths:
Super Zoom, Light weight, easy to use

Weaknesses:
When using ZOOM, I find the pictures do not turn out exactly as I set them in the view finder. Appears to have a slight parallex problem in certain zoom situations. When flash slides out to the left, my hand is always in the way and the instructions state not to block the flash as it comes out or damage may occur.
