from Photo shop in Moscow Summary: Exellent camera (of course, among point-and-shoots). Very good zoom range, lens is very good optically. Could be more slim. Auto flash is annoying. Five stars for overall rating, SIX stars for value rating. Strengths: Optical quality, zoom range, passive autofocus with beam light which casts a grid (the same way as in Pentax flashes), accurate 6-zone exposure meter Weaknesses: When switched on, the default mode is activated (with auto flash and 3-zone autofocus). No possibility to define one's own default mode. Flash is activated too often, when a backlight is detected. I have to remember to switch autoflash off every time I switch the camera on. Similar Products Used: Old point-and-shoots such as Mamiya (excellent), Fuji DL-something, Samsung 35-70 mm (good electronics, awful lens). Among non-similar products: a lot of SLR's. Customer Service: Never needed. They say that Pentax service in Poland (in Gdynia) is very good.
