Original algorithm uses three pixel-interpolation filters to convert the CCD's 4.0 effective megapixels to the recorded equivalent of about 8 megapixels. As well as being able to print out a detailed image very clearly, even on A3-size paper, you can also enlarge part of an image without sacrificing image fidelity.
