Summary:

The handling, features, etc. are great. I do sports action stuff and love the Zoom range. However, I would love to have a 1.5 megapixel version. It is JUST NOT SHARP ENOUGH.

Summary:

I take 500 pictures everytime I pick up this camera. I am a glamour photographer and often my customers are most comfortable in their home and don't like lunky equipment. The DKC is small, light, and a work horse. I have 2 twenty meg PCMCIA memory cards which I dump on my notebook. The cards hold 80 pics each in fine mode, then are reusable. The camera takes about 8 seconds to recycle, but that is fine for me. The scsi interface works great, but I bot a ethernet card for the notebook and just drag and drop them to my main desktop. I use photoshop to rotate the portrait pics into upright position using the batch mode. I use strobes for indoor work because the camera does need light to work well (iso 100 equivalent). I leave my camera on shutter speed priority 125 and then just adjust the F stop to what the light meter calls for plus what I think is best and I end up with nearly no bad pictures due to the camera. I let it do all the auto focus work. I have taken over 20,000 pictures with this camera and it is still as good as new. I do have two of the two hour batteries and I use them. Overall I am totally satified. ***BEWARE*** my samples link is to an adult site. All the pics there were taken with the DKC and there are 108 samples that were compressed with photoshop at level 4 and digimarced so they are not full quality that you can get for home or business use.

Summary:

I am an orthodontist and I have tried several dc for endooral pictures. This camera has a great lens system (12 x zoom) that can be coupled with close up lenses. I have used a light deflectors which makes the built in flash almost perfect for my needs. If you are not scared by teeth visit my pages. I have also tried Kodak DC120 and Canon PS600, with less satisfaction
