    Review 1 of 11

Price Paid:  $480.00 from JB HIFI

    Summary:
This is a great camera. It runs over many of the others I have had the privilage of using. This camera will do me for a very long time.I have already taken nearly 500 photo's in 7months and have had them developed online and thay have come aout fabulously. Don't go passed this great camera otherwise you will be bitterly disapointed.

    Strengths:
Ease of use is the great advantage. when you want those spontaneous pictures of your kids I can get it out point and shoot and know, I have a great quality picture. We bought a 256 mb card so we could take it away on holidays and know we had aenough space for all our images. It took 115 at the highest resolution. The use of AA batteries is a godsend. I bought extra rechargables and have some extras on hand "just in case" but have never needed them yet.The macro feature is great for allthose really close ups. Flash than can light up a city. No longer do you have to be within 3 feet of your subject to get a clear picture.

    Weaknesses:
None - great camera, great price.

    Similar Products Used:
We had a kodak 260 that we took over 3000 photo's with (in 5 years). The reason I did not go for another kodak was the shutter speed which is incredibly slow. The others did not have the resolution I required.

    Review 2 of 11

    Price Paid:  $499.00 from Henrys

    Summary:
After a lot of research and deliberation I chose the Sony and am not sorry. Easy to take good pictures without having to learn too much but plenty of features if you need them. Battery life is great unless you use the video a lot. Sometimes seems slow in changing modes but I think I can improve that when I read the manual! I read some comments about blurry pics with the auto focus and this is true so wait until all the adjusting lights have stopped flashing before you fully depress the button.

    Strengths:
    Price, great quality

    Weaknesses:
Rubber cover of USB and AC port seems really flimsy

    Similar Products Used:
I looked into the Canon A80 and Nikon 5300 as comparisons but price-features-quality decided on the Sony

    Customer Service:
    Not used

    Review 3 of 11

Price Paid:  $0.00 from A&B Sound

    Summary:
Great point and shoot camera. Good size and weight. Very clear images at 5MP or 3.1MP

    Strengths:
Good manual controls for beginner/casual user. Three diff. flash levels very useful. Usually very short shutter lag. Controls are intuitive and the quick review shot to see the last picture you took is very handy.

    Weaknesses:
Battery door is fragile and not easy to close Long shutter lag with red eye reduction turned on. Cannot brighten image too much when shooting in movie mode with low light.

    Review 4 of 11

Price Paid:  $379.00 from J&R Music World

    Summary:
Have had the camera for a few months with no technical problems. The camera takes excellent outdoor shots and indoors with good lighting. Definitely get a 128 or larger memory stick.

    Strengths:
Great photo quality and color at a low price compared to other 5MP cameras. Lots of settings.

    Weaknesses:
Fairly poor low light performance without a tripod.

    Review 5 of 11

    Price Paid:  $0.00

    Summary:
This is a really good camera for the person who just wants a quick and simple click and go camera. There isn't much to learning how to use it and it takes really good pictures. This is my first digital camera and I like the results. I bought it a week before i left for vacation. And this is what i used for my vacation. yeah, scary I know. But all my photos turned out great. You do have to get used to the focus and flash, but overall, point and shoot.

    Strengths:
    - Ease of use - great quality - decent price

    Weaknesses:
    - Unless you have a full battery, the flash takes a little long to recharge
