from onecall Summary: I chose this camera for the Zeiss lens, all the features, and the fact I do not have to make a payment for year (on good credit).
I have a Sony DSC-S85 and the two together make great compact photo gear to take with me on any trip.
Plus, they both can use the same battery, memory stick, and AC adapter/charger.
I love the 110 for movies. The snap shot feature is handy for the cases where you need a quick photo and the best resolution is not that important. I have the S85 for those special stills.
I would like better performance under less than ideal lighting conditions, and the swing down grip needs some getting used to, it''''s almost like an after-thought on the part of Sony.
Otherwise, all the features I could possibly use are there. It''''s too bad it''''s not more mac friendly, although I have a PC. I only say that because I know the latest MACs have good video editing capability. Strengths: Lots of features, Sony dependability, fairly intuitive controls, sharp Zeiss lens, common media and power sources with other Sony cameras. Weaknesses: Insufficient grip for holding, small memory stick, limited sensitivity under low light, not so special softwre package. Similar Products Used: None Customer Service: N/A
