Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $300.00 from The Discount Shop

Summary:

I am very happy with the product. I received it with a 60Gb drive and it works great. It is fast, it is small enough, and it is cheap. With the 60Gb storage, I use it as a external drive for my laptop.

Strengths:

Fast, and cheap.

Weaknesses:

None.

Similar Products Used:

External USB2 drives, PCMCIA card adapters, USB1.1 card readers.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

The VP-2030 is obsolete. I've seen it as low as $79. Check the VP-2060 currently (8/03) at about $90. I don't agree with the review. Other portable storages suck: only CF/SM support and often USB1.1. I have a sony camera, and a CF adapter is another $70 bucks!

Strengths:

6-in-1 card reader. Reads Sony, CF, SM etc. Handles most formats...

Weaknesses:

slow USB1.1: When you switch from your 2MPix camera to your 10MPix in the future you'll shoot youself waiting for the Xfer to the PC! Get firewire or fast-USB2.0! Aslo buy media with fast transfer rates, esp if going 250MB, 512MB or higher.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

I bought a VP2030 X'S-DRIVE in Beijin some days before when I travel here. It's really a good product that I have eagered for a longtime. It's convient for I storage my photo data when I travel in Beijin, and in a short priod of 4 days, with the help of this product, I crazily took more than 1200 picture(400,0000 PIXEL).

Weaknesses:

It's battery supply time(only 2.5h) is too short,I hope it can be more than 8h. Because of the incessantly release of new type of card ,the design type of immobility card reader is not suit for those change,so I suggest that your product don't need the inner card reader. It just need a USB interface to connect other card reader, and add a upgradable component support for new type of card in the product.
