Strength:

Well thought out design Felxible interior layout Modular design of Tamrac system

Weakness:

Outside bag could be a bit bigger for guidebooks, etc.

Good quality, compact design, very strong velcro adjustable dividers. Add-on modular system a plus -- I have a strap on bag which carries 20 rolls of film, which is useful when travelling as you can detach it for security checks, etc.

Strength:

Durable Tough Keeps eqipment safe Rugged Can mount a tri pod to it

Weakness:

Cumbersome for on the fly shooting Doesn't make me coffee

This is a strong sturdy bag. It has great carrying capabilities for a wide variety of equipment. I can fit two pro bodies, three lenses, a 550EX flash, filters, mini softboxes and diffusers, off camera show cord, manuals, magazines and a tri pod all in one shot. I trek around a lot and it has stood up to all I've put it through. Though, it is a bit cumbersome for on the fly shooting. Anytime you want to change lenses real fast or throw on a filter, you have to take it off, open it flat and it's just a pain. But for traveling around and just toting your equipment along, it's great.

Weakness:

For those with much equipment it's a bit small on long trips or when more equipment is needed.

A great bag for short trips, or for long trips if one doesn't have that much equipment. Excellent protection for gear and against weather.

I have been using the Expedition 5 model for a while now and I am very satisfied with its features and comfort. The protection against moist and dirt is excellent and the interior can be adapted to every equipment one wishes to carry along. I even have used for my Bronica EC-TL plus lenses. The Modular Accessory System makes it even more a pleasure to use. A large 2.8 zoom or telephoto can be carried inside as well as in an extra lenspouch on the outside.
I have compared it with a Lowe Pro Minitrekker and found the materials used on the Tamrac to be "smoother" as well as the finishing to better.
The velcro used on the adjustable dividers is very strong and the diveders themselves are very thickly padded, offering excellent protection and fastening.
