Tamrac 5371 Travel Pack 71 Backpacks

Tamrac's most compact photo backpack, the Travel Pack 71 is perfect for holding a compact SLR with a lens attached, a couple additional lenses and accessories. The front zippered pocket has paraphernalia pockets and Tamrac's U.S. patented Memory & Battery Management System, which uses red flags to identify fresh memory cards and batteries from ones that are used up. Mesh pockets in front and on the sides of the pack hold extra accessories. Other features include: padded backpack harness, EasyGrip handle, and inner mesh accessory pockets. Add Tamrac accessories to the Strap Accessory System (S.A.S) and Modular Accessory System (M.A.S) attachment slots to customize this pack.

Good construction,
Confident protection,

I bought this bag on a whim in which to quickly put my new investment (Rebel XTi/400D.) It turns out this is a great bag with lots of storage space for it's size. The bag could fit a number of lenses, cables, batteries and memory cars without too much trouble. The bag is also well built and I am confident in it's ability to protect whatever I see fit to store in it. All of the seams feel strong and the straps are rubberized so they don't accidentally slip off if the wearer is in motion. Also positive is the large weather flap covering the main zipper to keep the elements out. It comes in a variety of colors as well so there's also that.

After practically using this bag however, I find that it sits too high on my back personally. This makes it difficult for me to put the bag on and take it off around my broad shoulders. Personally, I also feel like a huchback. The bag's position and size also require that I comepletely remove it and set it down to access my equipement. That same zipper flap I praised earlier can make zipping and unzipping the bag difficult at times as well.
