NOT WORTH IT! Please, please, please. Either a. switch to film and maybe help the price of color film stop rising or b. get an extended warranty.(!) These things are pieces of you know whats, they are computers. Ever have a hard drive crash? That's basically what happened. long distance towing

Strength:

They call it mini-...but you can really load it up. My first backpacking trip with it was a disaster...two camera bodies with lenses and a tripod is too much for this Texan Wilmington On-Site Truck Repair

Strength:

Strong, not too big. Despite of what some people say it is roomy enough for me. Just as an example, tha maximun i can carry is: 2 Bodies: N90s and F3HP (without grips or motor). 5 Lenses: 24 f2.8 AIS; 55 f2,8 AIS micro; 105 f2,5 AI (adapted);35-70 f2.8D AF; and a 80-200 f4 AIS Flashes: Nikon SB-16, Nikon SB-17 and Vivitar 285 HV Extras: 1,4 teleconverter; nikon extension tube; sun shades for each lens; 1 nikon su-4 slave; 1 vivitar slave; 1 manfrotto monopod at the bottom; cleaning lens kit included big blower; 3 sets of 4 AA batteries; complete set of 62 and 52 mm filters in the plastic interior pockets; a pen and a little notebook; and of course some 5 to 10 films rolls.... ....dont tell me that is small!!!! of course, that is planning every inch of the bag carefuly and not in a large assigment (10 rolls is not much) but it gets REALLY heavy, so I don´t usually carry so much stuff.

Weakness:

Doesnt have an especial comparment designed for film only. It can be a very noticable photographer bag. Not good for long walks. A little expensive if bougth new.

Just enough for a 35mm photographer who carries the tipical complete equipment and dont mind to be the "obvious " photographer around. It is not discret.

Strength:

Great bag. Waterproof cover in side pocket is easy to use. Plenty of space for a day bag.

Weakness:

none

Functionally, it will hold two camera bodies, 3 prime lenses up to 100mm, one 70-200L, and a flash, instruction manuals, and a couple of cords. If camera has lense mounted on it, only one body fits in the bag.

Customer Service

never needed it

Strength:

Rock solid construction. Easy use zippers. Plenty of Space for even a 80-200mm f2.8 lens.

Weakness:

None

It is a bullet proof bag with plenty of dividers and well organized. It is also resonably priced and hauls all the equipment I dare without overkill. Perfect bag in the perfect size.

Customer Service

By the way it is built, I don't think I'll ever need it.

Strength:

the compact aw provides excellent protection from heat, water (has a water resistent cover), and the usual kinetic abuse.
it has room for two small slr's, one large lens and 2-3 small ones. a flash will find it's place easily too, along with plenty of film and many other stuff.
all of that equipment can be heavy, so the big fat strap realy comes in handy.

Weakness:

there are three plastic nets on the compact aw- one on each side pocket, and one more on top. they look like one of these days the israeli heat will make them brake... but that's not a big issue because i don't have any use for them.
there isn't enough space for filters: the large front pocket provides space and protection for up to two small filters and one large filter. you can allways shove a filter here and there around the bag, but it's a mess.

i bought this bag after i dropped my prior "kneissel" bag to a 2 meter hole in the ground. after i emptied my pockets for repairing and replacing damged equipment i went out looking for a bag that can protect my equipment from everything; drops, bangs, fires, flash floodings, lightning bolts, small firearms and hand graneds. well, maybe not hand graneds. although i didn't try kicking the compact aw around with the stuff in it, i'm pretty sure that it will do the job.

one other factor that should be taken in considiration is the israeli weather. it's hot, very hot. despite it's heat consuming black colour it's realy heat isolating.

the following equipment fits easily into it:
canon t90 camera, canon ae1 camera, 21-35mm lens, 50mm lens, 100-300 lens, x2 teleconverter, soltron flash unit, up to eight rolls of film in an inside pocket and much more equipment in the outer pockets.
this bag is has no serious drawbacks. perfect 10!

Strength:

Affordable, well-made, roomy and manageable in size.

Weakness:

It can be a little heavy when it's fully loaded, but that's my fault, not the bag's. :)

A quality bag at a decent price. Roomy enough for 3 SLRs, 2 zooms, 5 primes and a modest-sized flash (email me for details if you want to know) plus film, filters, remote releases, etc.
