Strength:

Good quality materials, durable build. Convenient, simple storage. Tough and protective.

Weakness:

Perhaps a bit more storage on the sides would be better. Could be slightly (1") wider, to fit larger lens between the adjustable foam barriers and the edge of the case.

This bag was bought to go with my shiny new F80, AF-S 24-85/3.5-4.5 & AF 50/1.8. I'll start from what it fits. The zoom is usually without a cover, the cover resting on the bottom, and the hood put on the right way (otherwise the zoom is hard to work). I close the lens cap when i'm done for a while. that fits snugly, between the foam walls, that are positioned using velcro. On the sides are a 50mm prime, and a lomo kompakt automat. It has two mesh pockets on the side which I don't really put stuff in, because they aren't big enough. The top pocket is unpadded. I put the development receipts there. The pocket right under it, on the inner side of the flap is for the warranty business. The front pocket is better padded, although not perfectly. I store about 8-14 rolls of film, depending on how determined I am, a polarizer, a brush with one of those silly pumps, spare batteries, and rice paper in there. It has an internal mesh for the tissues and batteries, and a few sleeves for the other stuff. The film just floats there. It fits quite a lot, surprisingly. In our recent trip to italy I shot a total of 11 rolls, in about a week. Only near the end, as I stocked up on exposed rolls and several spares did it start feeling tight. Lastly, in the back pocket, i keep the manuals. It's a bit tight. It's somewhat protective, so it could be used for a few prints or slides, but be careful with what the zipper does to what you put in it, when you try to take stuff out... It is comforable to carry, especially with this light load, on the shoulder, the shoulder and neck with the case in back or in front, and with the handle. The one thing that i keep doing is lifting the case from the handle when it's open. That is usually scary, but has not yet had any consequences. The padding is wonderful. The top is about an inch and a half thick. The sides a bit less, I suspect. The rest I can't really tell. To prove that it's effective, i'll tell you a horrible story. I was driving to a friends house, with my double bass and camera. Fitting the double bass in the car is a long procedure. In the meanwhile I placed the photo bag on the roof. And then I drove off. About a minute later I realized it was missing, and idiotically braked. Then I realized breaking was silly so i let go. The camera case fell off the roof, in back of the car, and rolled a good 5 meters, at about 30kmph. Everything is still working properly, a month and a half later. It also has belt straps, but I hate those. Others might care, I guess... ;-)

Model Reviewed: Nova 1 Verticle Camera Bag

Strength:

Light, compact. The strap is attached to the botton and sides of the bag, so I have no fear of it snapping off my bag.

Weakness:

Had a hard time stuffing my blower in the front pocket, but that's it.

Great bag, very light and compact, but if you need a bag for all your lenses, flash and other equipment, this is not the bag for you. Get a larger one.

Strength:

Compact, Easy to Carry, Sensible Pockets

Weakness:

None.

This is a nice small bag to store and carry an SLR, an extra lens, film, batteries, camera manual, and perhaps a few filters. Great for travel! It has one deep padded pocket, 1 small pouch in the front, and two small pockets for papers. Durable cordura construction. I like how the shoulder strap is angled for a more ergonomic fit across your shoulder. I'm picky about these types of things and am very pleased with this bag, especially for the money.

Customer Service

Not applicable unless for some reason the bag falls apart.
