Strength:

Very well built and padded. Nice looking. The flexibility of the M.A.S. system of accessories makes it easy to take along another flash or lens.

Weakness:

The front pocket is not padded.

I''m very fond of this bag. I wanted a nice looking bag that could carry my basic gear and provide a means of expansion. After using the similar Tamrac Zoom 16 and becoming dissatisfied with it, I settled on this 515 model and have been very happy with it. I use it with a Canon Elan 7e, usually with a 28-105 EF lens attached. This fits in quite well. I can get a 220EX flash and a few rolls of film in the front pocket. By adding M.A.S. accessories on either side, I can take a lot more. I find that kind of flexibility makes photography a bit more enjoyable for me. I always want to have the right amount of photo gear (not too much or too little) and I don''t want it to get in my way. This system has met those needs.

Weakness:

Limited accesory capacity (but that's the point of this case)

I purchased this bag for my wife's Rebel 2000 and EF 28-105mm USM. There's just enough room for this rig with the strap attached (folded on top of the camera). The bag is durable and good looking in gray. She is not "into" photography, she just needs a camera for her work (documenting interior design projects). The bag and camera get tossed into and around the back of her Suburban on a daily basis. With over a year of service, the bag looks brand new and the camera has been well protected. That's what a bag is supposed to do! There is very little room for much else - maybe two or three rolls of film in the front pouch and spare batteries in the top inside zippered flap. But this bag was made for quick and easy transport of a camera and that's it! Have not tried the belt attachment, so no experience with that. Overall, an excellent bag and a good value. I highly recommend Tamrac. Whenever I need a bag, I can choose exactly what I want fromt their website. It is well developed and there are detailed interior layouts for every bag in their line. An outstanding selling tool. Well done Tamrac!
