Price

I use my camera primarly for photography on our fishing trips. The things I was looking for in a bag were: compact size, ease of entry, layout of compartments, and price. This bag hit a home run on three of the four criteria I was judging against. The size is small enough to be unobtrusive while sitting on the deck of the boat, and the belt loops make it possible to strap onto my waist in rough waters where it being pitched overboard would be a concern. The ease of entry to this bag was a key feature. There is a three stage system for opening the bag. A plastic latch, velcro, and a zipper. For travel, having all three secured provides excellent peace of mind. Once ready for action, it is very nice to be able to have only velcro holding the bag closed, providing fast, easy access to my camera. The layout of the bag is also extremely sound. The camera compartment is large enough to easily fit my camera, (Olympus C-730) cell phone, and PDA. built into the lid of the interior camera compartment is a handy zippered pouch that is perfect for storing my extra smartmedia memory cards. The exterior front flap also has a built in zippered compartment that houses the USB and power cables for my camera with room to spare. In the zippered front pouch, I am able to store my battery charger, and an extra set of batteries. Finally, the carrying handle turned out to be a pleasant surprise, as it has a non-slip rubber mesh around the nylon, making it easy to grip even when my hands are wet or slippery with fish slime! The only area that I was a bit disappointed in was price. I paid $40 for this bag, with expectations of spending, at most, $30 for a camera bag. All in all, this bag meets all of my needs and then some.

Strength:

construction, security

Weakness:

lack of side pockets

Great bag. Very sturdy, nice zipper and clip lock arrangement. Enough room for my needs, though some may find it's a bit small for digicams + camcorder. Not a problem for me, fits diogicam + SW radio, + adapters, etc.

Strength:

Perfect size for digital photograpy

Weakness:

Main shoulder strap not quick release, this would be a nice option when wearing the bag on your belt.

This is a great little bag for your digital camera and accesories. It will carry a Coolpix 950 with 2 add on lenses plus all of the cables and extra memory and batteries.
