Think Tank Photo Urban Disguise 50 Soft Case

Think Tank Photo Urban Disguise 50 Soft Case

DESCRIPTION

The Urban Disguise shoulder bags allow you to travel in style and protect your valuable equipment without attracting attention to yourself as a photographer. This will hold more gear than you ever imagined, and a 15 laptop! (Check dimensions for exact size of the compartment). It is very similar to the Urban Disguise 30 except that it features the added rear compartment. The front compartment will hold a wide angle with a hood attached, a 24-70 2.8 with the hood, a 70 -200 2.8 with the hood reversed, AND two pro-size SLRs in the expandable front pockets (without the lenses attached). A regular size SLR with a lens attached can also be put straight down inside of the bag. Strobes fit into the side stretch pockets, as well.

Strength:

Tonnes of space for nick-nacks and so on. Discreet, comfortable. Well made and full of many thoughtful details like a zip on the luggage handle sleeve that allows it to be used as a pocket if you want.
Will take a lot of gear.

Weakness:

Will not take a pro DSLR (eg Nikon D3) with a lens fitted!! Doh!!

A glaring error in design - an extra 1.5" in width would have been sufficient. I actually sold this bag because that single error rendered it useless for me. What is the point in a discreet bag for public shooting when you cannot get your D3 in without taking the lens off?!

Also, the lack of attachment points for TT modular gear was a strange design choice.

Lowepro have brought out the new 'Classified' series, which is what this bag should have been! It is obvious that TT have stung Lowe into raising their game, and Lowe are now in the lead again!

A typically well-designed and thought through bag from the excellent Think Tank - with one glaring and very obvious error in the design that they really should have dealt with long before the bag hit the shelves!
There are literally hundreds - if not thousands - of camera bags in the market. Not one does what I wanted when I got this - a bag that has room for overnight change of clothes. washkit etc as well as my gear, enabling me to travel with a single carry on bag for short assignments.
I used the laptop bit of this bag for personal gear which kinda worked but was not ideal.
