Strength:

Admirable low light performance, Ease of shooting, Good video quality, Very good sound recording, 25X optical zoom.

Weakness:

Needs some time to understand the menus. Poor explanations in the manual

Since there were no reviews earlier, I was bit hesitant to buy such newly released stuff. I just got it two days back, shot 30 minutes clips in cloudy outdoors and poor lit indoors. The clarity and sound recording quality is very good. It's worth for the money. 25x zoom and wide screen modes are very useful. Also image stabilization works well. I think it can compete with any Sony camcorders in this price range.

Ok the negatives: It need to have the AC adapter connected to initialize and finalize DVD. Also any shake during this process, ruins the CD. But I think this is the case for any DVD camcorders. You can bypass this problem by keeping the camcorder on a table or any flat surface during finalization/initialization. The manual supplied clearly warns you about this. Overall I am happy with my purchase
