Strength:

It's easy to use. Not to heavy and really easy to hold..N o tapes to lose or confuse.

Great screen and many jacks.

Weakness:

I wish someone made a converter for the jack on top so one could use other mics more easily.

Software is still a problem if you wish to use HD. The SD conversion works great and and then any of the sofware editing programs are fine.

I understand Sony and ULead are working on good software for the AVCHD.

Great video camera to hold and operate. Feels good in a man's hand with controls all in the right places. The small dv tape video cameras are just so small I had a hard time with all the controls. Great screen and once you get used to the touch screen it's easy to use. I really like the mic input and the headset features. NO TAPES anymore
