    Strength:

    Size

    Weakness:

4 seconds to power up. Poor colour reproduction in some lighting conditions.

S3 is so small it is a dream to carry. If you keep in mind that this is not a replacement for your 35mm gear you will not be disappointed. This is an excellent camera to take out when walking.

    Size, Construction, Price per megapixel/value

    Weakness:

Very short battery life (and only rechargeable while battery is in the camera) , Soft images, limited zoom.

I bought this camera with high expectations. It looks great and has been well engineered, however two critical flaws emerged. The battery is specific to this camera (and the Konica version) and has a very short life (less than 30 minutes). The battery can also only be charged while in the camera, a major problem with the short battery life. he second problem is the lens. It just isn''t sharp. The colour and contrast are excellent but the lens is soft across the entire frame. The tiny size of the camera may further contribute to this problem via camera shake while hand holding. This camera has the potential but falls short of high quality image performance in this megapixel category.

    Strength:

Small size. Image quality. Ease of image download. Easy switch to black and white and sepia from color. Intuitive controls.

    Weakness:

2.0 optical zoom is limiting. Rechargeable battery life could be longer. It lasts quite a while if LCD monitor isn''t used, but it''s one of the great advantages of a digital camera.

This point and shoot camera is a dream. Its tiny size makes it easy to carry anywhere. The 3.34 megapixel resolution produces extremely clear photographs which remain clear even when enlarged. The automated optical zoom and automated flash features add to the ease of use of this great little gem. In addition, there are enough manual override features that allow amateurs and novices to broaden their photographic horizons.

1st digital camera ever used, but as easy to use as Olympus Stylus Zoom, and it has more override flexibility for better quality shots.
